Kanha National Park - Tiger Safaris
Exploring the wilds of the Kanha is a thrilling experience in
company of our expert naturalist guides. Organizing the tiger safari
is an extension of our hospitality and service.
We organize open jeep safaris in the various zones of Kanha National Park. The naturalist guides know the ecosystem like the back of their hands. They are expert tiger trackers and birders.
Depending upon you will be guided to an ecosystem that is inhabited by the bird or the animal of your choice. Tiger sighting are the key focus and we strive hard to show you the magnificent cat in the wild.
For birders the guides are a great help and dig out plenty of avian species that enchants you.
While the heart throbbing tiger safari goes on, you cruise in extreme comfort, the rugged terrain notwithstanding. The exterior amenities offer swimming pool, sit outs, private areas and hides for bird watching and animal watching - pssst! Our naturalist is always on the lookout.
The park excursions begin at predawn and end at twelve pm. The second jeep ride begins at three pm and ends at dusk. The zone is allotted during the online gate entry booking. The preferred zone is subject to availability. All zones are priced equally and same charge is applicable for overseas vsitors. Along with the gate entry charge a guide charge has to be paid. The jeep hire rates are additional. A park forest guide accompanies the jeep and this is mandatory however those interested can hire a professional naturalist guide or birders through the Courtyard House.
The tourists are not allowed to alight from the jeep throughout the excursion. Eatables can be consumed only at the center points at Kanha, Kisli, Mukki and Sarhi. Toilet facilities are available at centers which can be best made use of since there are very few toilets inside the park. The canteens at center points sell tea and coffee and some snacks hence carry foodstuff from Courtyard for the excursions.

For safari permit booking please send copy of passport in case of overseas visitors or send photo ID copy for Indian visitors. Address is also required along with particulars of all those who will be on the jeep. Maximum six people on safari are permitted in the National Park. Once the ticket is booked for gate entry changes can be made after payment. Changes are subject to rules and regulations and a fee. You cannot visit the tiger reserve without securing a permit.
Add On Facility
If seat is available more guests can be add on the jeep subject to
maximum six. A one time charge has to be paid amounting to Rs.1500.

Full Day Safari Booking
Full days safari allows entry half and hour early than regular one
and exit too is half and hour late. There is no zone restriction but
rest of the rules have to be followed. For booking this permit one
needs to write to the Field Director Kanha at Mandla along with a
demand draft payable to the PCCF Bhopal. The booking can be done one
hundred twenty days ahead. The fee is very high and keeps on
changing. Four guests are allowed on the jeep along with the forest
guide. Whole day is spent on full day safari and hence it is best
suited for wildlife photographers and film makers.

Khatia Night Safari at Kanha
Night Safari is organised at Khatia Zone in the buffer. The ride is
on open jeep. This is best way to expereince noctural activties and
animals at Kanha National Park. We organise night safaris on prior
intimation by hotel guests. Only few safaioris are organised by the
department for a fee. The duration is of three hours and it is
sufficient to get a glimpse of tiger on prowl, four horned antelope,
civet cat, leopard, porcupine, Nilgai, sloth bear, bison, sambar,
night jars and other common animals. Flash light or search lights
are not allowed please note.
Night Safari Booking is done at the Gate atleast one day before the night of safari.
